Only 2 weeks away until Cpays determines its winner.
Google results for cpayscom online casinos are showing a bunch of foreign domains but not many hosted blogs (blogger.com, spaces.msn.com, wordpress.com, etc.) which is surprising.
MSN results for cpayscom online casinos are just the opposite. Cpayscom.com is not surprisingly taking the lead there. And the rest seem to be blogspot.com and spaces.msn.com domains, also not surprising.
Yahoo search results for cpayscom online casinos are similar to MSN. A lot of spaces.msn.com in the results. Even a few for blogsource.com which was a little surprising.
I know that ask, snap, and technorati aren’t a part of the competition, but I thought it would be fun to see what their results are too:
Ask.com search results for cpayscom online casinos include hardly any hosted blogs. Interesting. I see a few foreign domains, but mostly older .com’s. Very interesting.
Snap has similar search results for cpayscom online casinos as Ask did, but a few more international domains in the results. Of course seeing how their results are mostly from Gigabit and Ask, that makes a lot of sense. Regardless, I can’t get over how in love I am with their site preview pane.
Technorati may not claim to be a search engine, but lets face it they are. Their search results for cpayscom online casinos include only the most recent posts from blogs that ping their server. Not the most relevent results for an SEO contest that’s generating thousands of spam pages a day, but for a topic on current affairs it just may be.
So, it’s true that a lot can be learned from an SEO contest such as this one. As long as you don’t get sucked into gambling at the casinos that are being promoted you can truly get an seo education. As for me. I’m going to go play blackjack. TTFN.

Funny thing about this little SEO competition I’m so heartedly doing (not really, I built the site on a whim and kinda sorta post to it every once in a while). I built an entire site, this one, to support the contest. But one of my older sites is taking a lead in the google results. Just goes to show how well an older domain can support an SEO campaign.

So I thought the “cpayscom online casinos” contest was all but over, ending on June 1st, 2006. Not sure why I thought that, but since this site is a half-assed effort for the cpayscom contest, I really didn’t try too hard through April and May. Now, I see I have about 4 weeks left to give it one last go. Think I will. Five months of work seemed too time consuming, but now that I had my break and there are only 4 weeks left, it seems pretty doable. I’ll shoot this out and think about it tonight. I’ll let the world know tomorrow if I decide to finish out the online casinos SEO contest strong or limp.

Cpayscom online casinos is nothing more than a simple phrase. It is the combination of a word created by removing the dot from cpays.com, cpayscom, plus their target vertical “online casinos”.
cpayscom + online casinos = cpayscom online casinos (good thing I’m not a numbers guy)
What makes cpayscom online casinos so important and more than just a made up phrase is that it is the object of an SEO contest. The SEO contest was established by Cpays.com as a method of increasing visibility to their casino affiliate program.
Up for grabs is a prize pool of over $10,000 and the pride of knowing that you are the king of Casino SEO spam! (I want the later prize more than the first
)

OnlineCasinoJunky.com is the result of a brainstorm. I knew I wanted to enter the Cpayscom online casinos contest, but didn’t know where I was going to park my efforts. After a week or so of contemplating my half-assed strategy, I decided to create a whole new domain for the contest. This would also give me a portal related to gambling, poker, and casinos, a vertical I am not to familiar with as far as SEO goes. I know it is a gamble to try to gain fast SEO ground with a brand new domain (trust me I know), but decided to challenge myself. So far nothing exciting has happened on Google or Yahoo, but as of today I’m doing fine for the casino search on MSN. Hopefully Google and Yahoo will gain the trust of my domain and I can truly optimize the whole experience. It’s been a valuable learning experience so far.

Just ran across the SEO Contest forum for Cpayscom Online Casinos. This looks like a very promising tool.
Unfortunately, the current content is mostly users listing their “successes” within the different search engines. It would be much more handy if users were to discuss what’s working and what’s not. I know this is all for a SEO competition, but I guarantee that you can get much more milege out of it if you were to collaborate with a site or two.

One small problem about the CPayscom online casinos SEO contest: SEO and Casinos don’t mix too well. Too many places don’t want to have anything to do with your text link and/or content. It’s also difficult to sit down and just write about gambling. It’s tough to get your head wrapped around a game enough that the words just start to flow. You think that by living in Vegas I wouldn’t have such a hard time with the subject. So did I. Now I struggle with not being sure where to start without sounding like a walking billboard for some online gambling site. Hell, I might as well dress in a low-cut bunny outfit and start serving drinks.
And that’s just too bad. This is an online gambling news site and online players know the type of marketing to expect from casino websites. In fact, this whole Cpayscom casino contest is a marketing gimmick to get more players to cpayscom sites. So keep an eye on our RSS feed for some of the best casino bonuses you have yet to see on the web. I am going to hunt out the best deals and the best sites and start sending them your way(and I’ll tell you upfront now that I’ll get a cut for recommending them to you).
Time to have fun with this whole Half-Assed SEO Contest attempt. So let’s let the dice roll and the cards fall!

This site was originally planned to have a one-day development period. Two weeks later and I’m still getting it going. It’s not that I’m lazy, it’s that it is pretty difficult to find time to get a blog going about an SEO contest. I’m still fascinated by the idea and still will be a heavy participant.
So I’ve been working on cleaning up the sidebar and getting it monetized. I also implemented feedburner and am letting that take track of all that’s happening with my RSS feed. SiteMeter is in place for public display of my stats (dunno if that is a good thing or not, time will tell). And I’ll continue tweaking until the contest is over, so it’s about time I got some content up. This post is mostly a moment for me to pause and collect my thoughts on what my goals are. More tweaks will come later.
